2009 Surface Transportation Reauthorization Requests

City of Morovia

The City of Monrovia’s request is for their Station Square Transit Village project along the proposed Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Light Rail project for $4.48 million.  This critical project along the light rail corridor will not only develop the actual station, but includes the acquisition and development of properties for the bus layover, park-and-ride and pedestrian access components to that station.  The City has invested and planned for an intermodal regional transit center strategically located at the center of the I-210/Foothill Corridor, which serves as an anchor for transit-oriented development and as a viable transit alternative for not only Monrovia’s commuters, but for the entire San Gabriel Valley.
