Appropriations Requests: FY 2010

City of Arcadia

Project Name: Cities of Arcadia and Sierra Madre Joint Water Environmental Infrastructure Restoration Project

Request Amount: $3.265 million

Project Recipient:  City of Arcadia

Address: 240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91066

Explanation of the Request:
Funding would be used for improvements to dams, water supply facilities, conveyance pipelines and groundwater supply spreading facilities.  This project has been authorized under Section 5039 of P.L. 110-114, the Water Resources Development Act.

Project Name: Cities of Arcadia and Sierra Madre Joint Water Infrastructure Project

Request Amount: $2.5 million

Project Recipient:  City of Arcadia

Address:  240 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91066

Explanation of the Request:

Continued funding through EPA which has been received for design and construction in FY03, FY04, FY05, FY06 and FY09 to provide water system reliability and water quality assurance for both cities following a potential major seismic event, based on the Army Corps of Engineers Seismic Reliability Study.
