2009 Surface Transportation Reauthorization Requests

Alameda Corridor East San Gabriel Valley

The ACE Construction Authority’s request is for $354 million for their comprehensive effort to mitigate the effects of increased traffic along a 35-mile goods movement corridor through the San Gabriel Valley from East Los Angeles to Pomona.  This project has been nationally recognized as the model for increased mobility, enhanced safety, reduced emissions, improved air quality and increased economic development and growth.  The critical grade separations, safety upgrades and traffic synchronization that the ACE project will complete are imperative to the volumes of goods movement coming to and from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
