2009 Surface Transportation Reauthorization Requests

City of Montclair

The City of Montclair’s request is the ongoing Monte Vista Avenue Grade Separation project for $2.8 million.  With constant goods movement traffic increasing congestion on our highways and surface streets, grade separations are critical not only to reducing traffic but also for improving public safety and air quality, and enhancing the regional transportation network.  Funding for the city would be used for the remaining right-of-way acquisition for the project which will grade separate the Union Pacific Rail Road tracks and Monte Vista Avenue.
