WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman David Dreier (R-San Dimas, CA) voted this week in support of a resolution to recognize and honor the sacrifice of the members of the Armed Forces and veterans. H.Res. 1385 was unanimously approved by the House of Representatives.
“The members of our Armed Forces and veterans have sacrificed so much in defense of this nation,” Dreier said. “As we begin commemorating Memorial Day, it is fitting that Congress take the time to recognize their commitment to protecting our freedom. While we cannot repay them for their sacrifices, we can give them the honor and respect they have earned.”
H.Res. 1385 urges all Americans to recognize and honor the courage of our military personnel and veterans and thank them for their service. “The brave men and women of our Armed Forces work tirelessly to ensure our freedom,” Dreier said. “I am committed to providing the resources they need to complete their mission and return home safely.”
Dreier also noted that May is National Military Appreciation Month. He said it was important that we express thanks to all active duty military, as well as their families, currently serving both here in the United States and throughout the world for their service to our country.
