Dreier Delivers Statement on Southern California Wildfires
October 23 , 2007
Congressman Dreier expressed his concern for residents and business owners dealing with the wildfires in California and their aftermath, and the strongest possible appreciation for the men and women fighting to protect lives and property from the devastating fires. In remarks on the House floor today, Congressman Dreier said that the California Congressional Delegation is working together to ensure the federal government is able to support the fire fighting efforts now, and recovery efforts once the fires are contained. He thanked President Bush for issuing an Emergency Declaration for California so quickly, and he urged all Americans to keep the residents of Southern California in their thoughts as fire fighters work to contain the fires.
